My longtime gf that moved away recently broke up with me after three years of being apart and trying long-distance. Currently, it feels like life isn't worth living without someone to share my hopes and dreams with or just talk to after a long day at work.
Personally, dating has always been about finding someone for the long haul. I think life is too short to waste time and money on relationships that weren't built to last.
I have been cheated on in the past after a 4-year relationship stemming from high school; for that reason, I'm still shaky when it comes to trust and being completely vulnerable.
In terms of what kind of relationship I like, I think I enjoy the "clingy" ones. Not crazy or jealous, but just.. extremely affectionate. Being able to plainly feel how much someone adores you, just by seeing their face as you enter a room or just hearing their voice when you come home.

About Me:
• To not waste your time: I am a geek and usually play video games in my spare time.
• I love tabletop RPGs and roleplaying. I have DMed for Pathfinder, 4e, 5e, and Dungeon World so far.
• I am a shut-in: I work 4 full day shifts that usually make me leave the house at 9am and return at 11:30PM and 1AM. Then I'm off on Monday-Wednesday. During those off days I enjoyed nothing more than being lazy and staying indoors to speak with my long-distance SO at the time.
• I have very limited dating experience. Aside from 2 very long relationships, I've only had 4 other girlfriends and they were mostly for things you'd expect a high schooler to hook up for. No lasting love to be found.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of important things but right now, my heart aches and I'm at a loss. If you're not interested in dating but think we could have a nice conversation, I'd like that as well. Thanks for reading.
